Coming Together for Humanity 2016

Throughout my travels I have been in many situations where people came together to handle a conflict or situation where there was no, police, guard or military to enforce “law and order.”  In every situation people would come together for the sake of humanity and use natural law and self-rule. In other words, people did what was right and seemed to be guided from their wisdom and their heart.

In “modern” society we are led to believe through misleading news stories and other media  that our neighbors are to be feared and we must have policing, cameras and rules to be safe from our terrifying neighbors especially those from other neighborhoods. This has kept us from discovering the beauty in each other and has literally created disharmony against each other. When given a chance to self-rule, people will follow natural order. People understand our human nature and respect humanity. People when called upon to lead and support will do what is fair and just. People do not need fear of prosecution to do what is right.  These blanketed rules and laws linked with prosecution causes more rebellion and dis-harmony against society.

There is a famous quote by Helen Keller which goes “Avoiding danger, in the long run, is no safer than outright exposure. The meek get caught as often as the bold.”

This is a natural law. It is what we speak about in yoga as Dharma, natural law, natural order. Even the safest cars, the toughest laws and the best laid plans will not hold up to what is to be or what could be. It is the same as decriminalizing drugs. When we decriminalize drugs, drugs are used less and society prospers more. Laws and fear of prosecutions only destabilize society.

The best way we can begin to experience harmony with each other is to use more of our intuition and heart. yes it’s true even a handshake with someone we thought we could trust might end up in trouble, but the more we fine-tune our instincts the more we begin to attract and even create harmonious relations. One way to do this is to go back to the original intuitive building exercise, meditation. Meditation connects us with the highest source of intuition and heart, and in the heart is where our future experiences receive light.

There is a wave of intuition and heart space building  within humanity that is growing larger. Like a tsunami, the power behind our growing heart and influence of natural order will overcome.

The media and leaders want us to fear the massive amount of police and military that have been created to keep order to the “laws.” The one thing to remember is that these people who are the police and military are blue-collar people with families and children. It doesn’t take much intelligence to know what is right when it comes to being a good person to our family and friends.  As our prayers and meditations grow, the light will penetrate and reveal itself in the hearts of those employed to do harm to humanity for the sake of laws designed to oppress the people.

Our brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers in the service sector will in the end, be there to protect us, not harm us. Believe in this idea and the idea will blossom.

Start first by self-ruling yourself. Just because someone mistakenly does something out of the norm or law, if it is not harming anyone or anything, be love. If someone swerves into your lane, notify but don’t chastise.  begin to live a life of natural law not “criminal law.” Become a support to the human nature we all fall into. “Thee who has no sin throw the first stone,” I once heard. 🙂

In fact,  follow less rules and life in more harmony with the natural law.  Moral disobedience, let’s break more laws in order to find order and harmony in a natural way!

Conscious Tourism

Think of a time, not too long ago, when people were romantic – the sky is deep blue, the sea is clear, and the air is warm. Vivid colors of nature and breathtaking waterfalls in the mountains surround you. Your body is blessed by living outdoors and eating the abundant fruits that grow effortlessly all around. Your heart feels the natural affinity of love. Life is so vibrant you name your children after the elements in nature. The land requires strength and respect. This is Hawaii, a place so blessed and powerful that the people mold everything around this respect and gratitude. It has been the way until modern slavery and corporate greed began killing life on this great example of haumea (Mother Earth).

This is not isolated to Hawaii. Exponential population growth combined with the inertia from generations of bad habits has our earth cultures scrambling for solutions. Leaders of new thought are working to awaken more people each day to the power within them to harmonize with the natural laws of earth, Dharma.

As the growth of tourism increase on Maui, the impact has residents rallying together to conserve this blessed land (stolen in 1893), and is slowly losing all of its natural resources. But within this steady flow of tourism is a revelation of insight, a blessing, a method by which knowledge and wisdom can be shared.

Here on Maui resides a large population of Mother Earth’s leaders. Natives of Hawaii who carry the wisdom of their indigenous families. Others have been attracted to the island with wisdom to support and teach the laws of Mother Earth and enjoy the simple life gifted by nature. Moving to the island is not a given right. The people who are of the island have the fire naturally within them. Others have to discover it and answer to it from the truth within the heart. It’s a rite-of-passage, a personal, emotional fire which scorches the illusion of reality to bring forth the giant within. Maui, within it’s beauty, is a sweet nectar that will metaphysically transform the blood of all who are bold enough to partake. In yoga, we speak of this fire within as a force which burns through to reveal the true self. The fears of life have much of society afraid to discover and accept this inner self.

Throughout the world, social norms were developed out of fear and ignorance which now threatens life on earth. Today, the leaders are here to create a new reality. There is a power force on this island, the power of Mother Gaia’s heart. Those who make a stand to actualize change within themselves ignite the fire of change for people worldwide.

There is a wealth of knowledge being developed on Maui regarding the natural affinity for health and joy on this planet. Ancient knowledge brushed aside as folklore to give science priority over common sense is being reawakened and practiced. Within this ancient wisdom lies the truth of the simplicity of human survival and happiness.

Today, true leaders all over the earth are providing methods of alchemy towards happiness. Sometimes called “lightworkers,” on Maui, these leaders are immersed in wisdom of the natural elements of life. This wisdom is expressed in the teachings of organic and self-sustaining permaculture, natural healing, cultural harmony, and reclamation of Earth’s resources. These devoted leaders and teachers are not fighters in defense of a cause, as much as, masters of revelation – sharing the romantic passion of life.

Visitors of any sacred place on Earth shall realize that there is a kuleana (responsibility) to nurture our own inner wisdom – our personal coming of age. Maui asks visitors to discover something deeper than a luau at a favorite hotel. Discover the meaning of Aloha, attend a conscious class, a self-awakening/strengthening retreat, or an educational tour in support of the knowledge that people of the planet are in desperate need of. Embrace the knowledge close to the heart and allow sharing to happen naturally within circles at home. There is so much a visitor of these Hawai’ian islands can do to consciously support Hawai’ian communities and one’s hometown. A deep personal commitment is normally felt as a conscious shift, a feeling of personal harmony with what is commonly known as the ‘right thing to do.’

Maui is also where teachers and leaders from other lands come to partake in strengthening their inner power with the wisdom flowing through the vortex. Come enjoy life as you develop the leader within you. Put yourself in the fire so that nobody else can burn you. Bring home a piece of Maui. Make your visit fulfilling to the point of tears and help bring wisdom to the people worldwide.

The Focused ones

How can you tell the person who’s got it going on, focused and visionarily strong?
They move with intent. They are not looking around wondering what everyone else is doing, subjecting themselves to vampires and thieves.
The thieves I speak of are representative in the ethical guidelines of yoga the Yamas.

The five yamas, are self-regulating behaviors involving our interactions with other people and the world at large.
Ahimsa: nonviolence
Satya: truthfulness
Asteya: non-stealing
Brahmacharya: non-excess (often interpreted as celibacy)
Aparigraha: non-possessiveness, non-greed.

Non-stealing relates to the energy you take from another, be it physical or non-physical. In one glance a person can steal the moment you give them, define it and put it upon/into you. It may be a moment of inspiration and upliftment as in a smile or a disruptive and fearful glare defining their existence.
approval
One who is self-sufficient, complete and confident will travel through time/space directly into the people and places that are essential for the creation of their desires.
We are all creators and healers, transformers of space. We define the space around us by focusing our attention in one direction or another. Those not focused on a path will wander aimlessly into the wild, and subject themselves to endless variations of others opinions, beliefs and endless suffering. I am not talking about physical wandering either. I am talking about the life path/dream one holds tightly to their souls energy from the point of waking from sleep every day.
Some wake with gratitude and vision and others wake with fear and confusion.
Waking
It is summed up in a phrase molded by Irene Dunne: “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.”
There is power in that phrase beyond a smile of approval.
The person with direction in their life is not taking their eyes off the road. They don’t need to be in random conversations with those babbling about their beliefs or fears, or looking around for approval in the eyes of others. When you take your eyes off the road you’re in danger of crashing, because those eyes can kill.
Stand in your path without the need for approval or acceptance. I knew a man who would always have to preface his words and opinions with pre approved acceptance from others in an attempt to persuade others and avoid his fear of disapproval. He was the most uncomfortable person to be around.
It doesn’t matter what you wish to create. Create with all your heart. Marilyn Manson is a great example. He’s one of my fellow Capricorn leaders, an intelligent man with a wildly creative soul with no need of approval from any human being. I love him.
MM
Find your path. “You are never given a dream without also given the power to make it true.” -Richard Bach

Focus. Focused intention builds the dream.
Believe in your power. Believe everything is drawing you closer to your desires.
Stand forward. Walk forward, heart forward and spine tall. Walk from were you are now to the point of attraction for you each day. You will walk into the people and places that fit the joy you seek, the kindred souls of the angels that will guide you away from the thieves. This is the core power of the Law of Attraction.

Who are you?

The Maui pot

Yes a lot of people smoke weed on the islands, but that’s not the pot I am refer-ing to.

Yesterday a couple in a rental car stopped next to us along the side of the Hana Highway and approached us to get some information. They are farmers from Indiana, real farmers with 3,000 acres of family farm land. They were nice and friendly. I enjoyed chatting with them. There was one thing she mentioned that stood out for me.  She said as they were traveling from their hotel touring the land, she noticed there are a lot of people on Maui and aside from the tourists staying in hotels, there was very few housing developments. She asked herself and me, “where does everybody live.” I told her there are many hidden developments around the Island, but she hit on a critical issue, the epic housing shortage on Maui.

Here you find people occupying every type of living arrangement imaginable. There are those who live from their backpack, individuals and families who live from their car, truck or van and others who live in structures.  Those able to manifest actual “housing” might find everything from converted school buses, barns, garages, sheds and storage units. If lucky, you’ll find an actual room in a house with decent folk, studio or guest house. There are apartment buildings and homes in the larger city areas, but the competition and cost is more than most are willing to deal with, trumped by the wealthy who can over-bid asking prices.

All that being said, there is a unique and even symbiotic relationship that happens with all groups of people here. Everyone knows about the challenges we face and generally have compassion for all people.

Like anywhere, there are the few who lose control of their lives and fall into addiction to pharmaceuticals or alcohol and in turn lose control of their respect for the nature or others. Even these folks find a way to get along and are usually found in areas inhabited by the like-minded. We learn to steer clear of these folks by keeping our vibration at a frequency that shields and protects us.

The “pot” I am referring to is this melting pot of people learning to live and find the Aloha in their lives here on Maui. The police, the locals, those living in their cars and those living from their backpack find compassion for the human experience.  I’ve seen people go through some tough humbling experiences, and the strength I see in their eyes is the beauty of humanity.

The contrast to this are those who pretend that they are in control. They talk too much, name drop, show-off with behaviors influenced by television.  There are many talented people here, and eventually, like a thousand-piece jigsaw puzzle and when the ego is subdued, we find our place.

This melding is challenged by some locals who are not happy with the growing crowds on the island. We must remember. This crowding is not a Maui thing. Our exponential population growth is world-wide. There are as many folks leaving Maui as those coming in. The human desire to have three and four babies has put us in a critical situation with the growth of our population.  It’s why I left the beaches of Southern California. It was to the point I wouldn’t leave my place in Malibu on weekends for the hassle of growing traffic and delays getting to and from my place. It’s even more reason to find compassion and teach new ways of thought, and new ways of being. We are in this together.

So if you are reading this from somewhere on the island or from the frozen fields of Sweden thank you for sending a bit of compassion to all who are learning to meld together on this ever-growing experience on earth. It’s the experience of our lives.

Aloha

Maui Initiation

After an obscure series of events, we found ourselves on the island of Maui, the vacation spot of the world. The destination for weddings, honeymoons, family vacations, and the hottest surfing and ocean sports. The place many would like to live…if they could.P1140654

The Island has a reputation for attracting people at transitional times in their lives or to put them face to face with their fears. This is a theme we have heard over and over again here. Even a local magazine printed an article mentioning this vortex of energy that pulls people in or spits them out. Some people leave the island after a short stay with their tail between their legs; others run out of money or fail to accomplish their “plans.”  Plans?  The Islands have their own “plans” for you.

We arrived following one of those such failed “plans.” What was supposed to be a year stay managing a B&B turned into a swift exit from the Big Island onto Maui.  Fortunately, we found a friend to stay with for a while. He spoke of the “vortex”, the power of Maui; that it will manifest whatever energy we put out, positive or negative. It’s as if there is an evolutionary force of thought manifestation here on the Island. It seems many want to see it and be in it, because the island is so over-run with tourists and transients, the challenge to find peace on Maui is growing more and more difficult.

The amount of people who come and go is so great, it may take months before local people even begin to take notice of you. We’ve heard local natives enlighten us to what they call the “rednecks,” white people coming to the island to sell real estate and abuse the land. Then there are the throngs of spiritual devotees wanting to invade your personal space with a overly emotional hug. attending “teacher training programs.” Those with monetary wealth, can  live in planned communities offering a safe and familiar experience, living as a perpetual tourist. But in the real Maui there are some very intense people, and some of the world’s best athletes.

For me, the magic of the experience is that I had to deal with my emotional breakdown and find the strength to let go of beliefs and expectations of what I thought should be and tap into my own intense strength. I had to practice the art of embracing “what is.”

Like many, I understand the concept of accepting circumstances in order to move through them, but here the challenge was in my face. “Circumstances don’t matter, only state of mind matters,” I remember this phrase through a Bashar channeling.  In my humble, calm state of mind, I journeyed through these few weeks to discover more depth to this paradise on earth.

P1140715

My breakdown was initiated by expecting that at this point in life, my invention would have been far further along, bringing the fantastic income I envisioned. The great spirits had other plans for the progress into my dreams. Expectation can be a deadly emotional trap and my surrender brought forth new direction.

I found that Maui will welcome you and hold you closely in her arms, but there is no room for emotional baggage. With emotional baggage, you either have to distract and hide as long as you can, or come clean and find rest.

P1140691

Here, the self is first. The self, with truth and serenity offers true relationship to others and the world around. I have seen the many who have not freed themselves. Frantic, frustrated people with an air of chaos, even eerie, creepy and fearful expressions surround them, trying to find their place on Maui.  Even when one feels clear and strong, keeping clear boundaries is a constant practice. For there are many here who still live in the confusion of what is and seek to bring others into it.

P1140919

The Maui we thought was, no longer exists, and maybe this is the fate of the entire earth. The earth we once knew no longer exists. People have over-run the planet for the sake of commerce. My request is for the angels to come forth from the souls of who we are and realize the natural law of the universe, what is known as the Dharma.

Today,  synchronicities have been climbing and feelings of home are increasing. Soon  the perfect little home space will manifest, a place to support our comfort and where I can continue to share  gifts with the community and realize the warrior power  carried throughout my life.

Blessings.

Leaving Los Angeles

It has been quite an adventure traveling to exotic places for six months, then returning to L.A. to earn money to travel off again. As native Angelinos, we’ve experienced the prosperity and the despair of this intense place from childhood into our adult life. Today, however, the continued glamorization of Southern California and reality television has increased the masses of people moving in, and as it happens the native families become extinct. Even yoga in Los Angeles has become a product of acrobatic fitness challenges and commercial magazines. All that being said, I couldn’t imagine growing up any other place. The areas we lived in Malibu, Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks brought us all the enjoyment of Zuma Beach, Santa Monica, Venice, Hermosa, Santa Barbara, the mountains, the cliffs, the music, movies and endless sunshine.

Venice-Beach Venice-Beach2

Even my career carried the spirit of Los Angeles with famous clientele, billionaire homes and parties, the flow of stimulation is endless. This megalopolis is massive and extends for nearly a hundred miles of Southern California’s coastline and stretches three hours inland. It is a collection of cities connected by the largest network of freeways in the world extending all the way to Ventura.

i-5-southern-california-traffic-map

For us, however, it is the endless stimulation, the constant hum of the city, freeways and air traffic which can no longer soothe the dreams of our adventurer spirit. Upon our last move out of L.A., we claimed it as our last. Leaving is like withdrawal from a good drug, but on the other side, it is knowing how the ensuing experience would be something completely new and exciting. We will always be L.A. babies, but it was time to release the umbilical cord, and yet keep the etheric connection to the magic and friends which created our experience and carry it forward.

Collage of Ca Cropped

For most people, a choice to move would start with a job search and job security in the transition. As in the case of the adventurers like us, the first step is to define the location of our highest joy and allow great spirit and the guiding light of our heart to lead the way and create the lifestyle and income.

Since our travels began in 2011, we have lived and relocated ten times. We eliminated our belongings to just a few suitcases and traveled with things, such as gear, clothes, three pairs of shoes each, and musical instruments small enough to fit in our suitcases. The moving has become a perfected routine, and with each move comes absolute gratitude for spiritual guidance. We’ve learned to use particular essential life tools to keep us in harmony with our desires. Our current desire is to settle long term. With our world travel experiences, we thought of several places we would like to relocate. We created a new vision board and mind movie to highlight a clear vision of our next move.

We know how well our skills in health and yoga can blend with a vacation retreat center. We decided to step it up and focus our intention on prosperity to realize this idea. When we ask for change, change will happen. We do our best not to judge how things are changing no matter how unforeseen. The ensuing months threw us right into a free-fall of unexpected events to the next phase of our vision.

While care-taking a 3 acre organic edible garden property in Puerto Rico, we were gifted with a vision for a business. We left the paradise we were experiencing to develop this idea further. During the process, we were swindled out of our money and experienced an ugly side of humanity. When the idea hit a wall and ran out of money we then experienced the proverbial “kick-em while they’re down” behavior from people around us, people we thought were our friends.

It turns out the intensity of it all actually helped us narrow our vision and strengthen our bonds even further. Anger propels intensity and fierce decision. Though I cursed god, I held fast to the knowing that the greatest of achievers have been in this position. I began to search for the perfect opportunity, low and behold. A man who had a large plot of land and built a home by himself on the big island of Hawaii was seeking trustworthy people who could care-take his property and also help turn it into a money making business while he travels abroad for a year or more. The connection seemed perfect.

Though we never met, we felt enough of a pull to make it happen. The Angels seemed to support this move and by mid October, we made it to Hawaii.

A month later and we are leaving. The merging didn’t work out. Even though we were sure this was the place, it was only the catalyst.  Tired and a bit weary, this phrase from the classic poem “The Invitation” rings in my ear… “It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children.”

So with friends within reach, we move on.

On a side note,  it’s funny how the the idea of developing a great business opportunity comes a bit of sadness, sadness for what the dealing of business has caused us. We were quite happy on that little island before we had the “big idea.”  This in turn, reminds me that I am not a yogi.  Real yogi’s have no attachments and thus no desires for business, or a new computer, Twitter or Instagram. So as a yoga teacher, all I can do is utilize the lessons of yoga to get through the attachments we define ourselves as. We do our best to detach.. Sometimes we do. Sometimes we don’t. As we all know, life is happening now, a place in time on the vertical choice of our vibrations.

I guess you could call me a wandering angel, or a lost Angelino. I practice and study the lessons of yoga, play music, enjoy my creativity, nature, my body, and friendship. So in the tradition of the modern California yoga dude, allow me to extend an invitation to follow us as we progress into the evolution of our experience.

Angels from the west coast.

Aloha
